Thomas M. Evans, Jr.

Thomas M. Evans Jr ., Chief Operating Officer of VMN Group LLC, has spent the last 30 years formulating and implementing business strategies for companies as a senior executive and advisor on strategic planning, corporate development and financial management. Over the past ten years, he developed a proprietary computer simulation tool that allows management to test and refine their business and financial strategies. Thus, VMN helps clients be more successful by applying the most advanced strategic planning methodology. This expertise has been applied in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, distribution, high technology, software, Internet, pharmaceuticals, as well as financial and professional services.

While at SRI International (formally Stanford Research Institute), Mr. Evans was a strategic planner contributing to multi-client studies for the US securities market and the financial planning industry in addition to consulting for Merrill Lynch, Bankers Trust and various other financial institutions . Before joining SRI, Mr. Evans was a senior securities analyst with Stern Frank Meyer & Fox, a NYSE member that provided investment research to institutional investors. He was managing partner of Evans, Marans & Wisnia; VP of corporate development for PinPoint Software; and co-founded Integrated Retail Credit.

Mr. Evans has lectured at Stanford Business School, University of San Francisco, Golden Gate University and various venture groups. He has an MS in systems analysis and decision theory from Stanford University; an MBA from the University of Southern California; and a BA in economics from California State University at Northridge. Mr. Evans is the former Dean of Financial Planning Programs for the Stanford Alumni Association and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an honorary business fraternity. He has served on the Board of Governors for the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts and as director of the Small Business Development Center in Chicago. Mr. Evans' work has been published in The Wall Street Transcript , The Financial Times , California Business , The Los Angeles Times and multiple SRI studies.

Mr. Evans contributes time to personal and community development programs, including The ManKind Project, where he was the first Northern California Center Director; the San Jose Software Business Cluster; and Inside Circle men's workshops within California state prisons.
